⭐ FOOTLOOSE – THE MUSICAL ANNOUNCED FOR PITLOCHRY FESTIVAL THEATRE – SUMMER 2024 ⭐
The Pitlochry Festival Theatre will stage a revival of the stage musical adaptation of FOOTLOOSE, it has been announced.
Pitlochry Festival Theatre have announced a brand new production of FOOTLOOSE as part of its Summer 2024 season.
Revisit the ‘80s with FOOTLOOSE the story of Ren McCormack, a teenage boy from Chicago, who moves with his mother, from Chicago to a small farming town, after his father abandons them. Ren is prepared for the adjustment to his new high school, but what he isn’t prepared for is a ban on dancing by the local preacher, Revered Shaw Moore
With the help of Ariel, the Reverend’s rebellious daughter, and Willard, a country hick who becomes his best friend, Ren convinces the Reverend to let the teenagers dance, and in the process helps the town to heal from a tragedy that affected them all.
A co-production between Pitlochry Festival Theatre and the New Wolsey Theatre, the rockin’ rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated Top 40 score, augmented with dynamic new songs, FOOTLOOSE celebrates youth, love and life.
FOOTLOOSE has music by Tom Snow and lyrics by Dean Pitchford. Adapted for the stage by Dean Pitchford & Walter Bobbie. Based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford.
FOOTLOOSE will play the Pitlochry Festival Theatre, with performances between 31st May – 26th September 2024.
