⭐ ALFIE FRIEDMAN TO STAR IN DORIAN – THE MUSICAL – ANNOUNCED FOR SOUTHWARK PLAYHOUSE BOROUGH – JULY 2024 ⭐
DORIAN – THE MUSICAL will play Southwark Playhouse Borough, it has been announced.
Inspired by Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray, DORIAN – THE MUSICAL is an exciting new adaptation that gives the Gothic tale a Glam, modern twist with a newly composed score that sears through the action, propelled by influences from Bowie to Brecht.
A modern, queer fairy-tale, it challenges perceptions of gender and identity and the dangers of social media in a world where youth and immortality are thrust into the spotlight.
The iconic lead role of Dorian will be played by Alfie Friedman (The Witches of Eastwick).
DORIAN – THE MUSICAL will be directed by Linnie Reedman, with musical direction by
Aaron Clingham, lighting design & production management by Toby Darvill, sound design by Mike Thacker, set & costume design by
Isabelle Van Braeckel and general management by Carter Dixon McGill.
DORIAN – THE MUSICAL has music & lyrics by Joe Evans, with a book by Linnie Reedman.
DORIAN – THE MUSICAL will play Southwark Playhouse Borough, running from 4th July – 10th August 2024, with tickets on sale now.
