The Old Joint Stock Theatre has announced casting for the live UK premiere of the Drama Desk-nominated Outstanding Musical, THE MAD ONES.
The musical will star Dora Gee as Samantha Brown, Ryan Bartholomew as Adam, Safia Bartley as Kelly, Thea Jo-Wolfe as Beverly and Molly Kilcullen as Sam/Kelly Understudy.
THE MAD ONES is an instant YouTube viral sensation, telling the captivating tale of Samantha Brown. After the tragic loss of her best friend Kelly in a car wreck, Samantha finds herself grappling with profound questions about identity and courage. Will she adhere to her mother’s aspirations, or will she summon the bravery to chart her own path into the unknown?
This marks the first of three in-house musical productions at the Old Joint Stock Theatre in 2024, setting the stage for a year of extraordinary performances.
Directed by Emily Susanne Lloyd, associate director & produced by James Edge, produced by Liam Alexandru, musical direction by Callum Thompson, set design by Tom McVeigh and artwork by Tom Mann/Ghostlight Studios.
THE MAD ONES has music by Bree Lowdermilk, and book & lyrics by Kait Kerrigan.
THE MAD ONES will play The Old Joint Stock Theatre, Birmingham, running from 10th – 20th April 2024, with tickets on sale now.
