A new Christmas movie musical featuring Dolly Parton is coming to Netflix, it has been announced.
Dolly Parton’s Christmas On The Square will have 12 original songs penned by Parton herself. The plot revolves around an heiress trying to sell the town she inherited before Christmas and is described as “… equal parts It’s a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol…”.
The cast includes Dolly Parton (9 To 5), Christine Baranski (Mamma Mia), Treat Williams (Hair), Jenifer Lewis (Sister Act) and more. Dolly Parton’s Christmas On The Square is directed by Debbie Allen (Fame).
Dolly Parton’s Christmas On The Square is stated to be available on Netflix from 22nd November.
