⭐ BETTY! A SORT OF MUSICAL – WORLD PREMIERE ANNOUNCED FOR ROYAL EXCHANGE THEATRE ⭐
The world premiere of a new musical, Betty! A Sort of Musical, has been announced as part of the Royal Exchange Theatre’s 2022 season.
The new musical tells the story of a Yorkshire-based amateur dramatics society which has come together to celebrate the first female speaker of the House of Commons, Betty Boothroyd.
Betty! A Sort of Musical is written by and stars Maxine Peake and Seiriol Davies, and directed by Sarah Frankcom, who returns to directing at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre for the first time since leaving as artistic director.
Betty! A Sort of Musical will play the Royal Exchange Theatre, running from 3rd December 2022 – 14th January 2023.
Tickets on general sale from 10th December – 12pm.
