⭐ BEDKNOBS AND BROOMSTICKS STAGE MUSICAL ADAPTATION SET FOR UK DEBUT ⭐
The stage musical adaptation of Disney’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks is now set to debut in the UK, it has been announced.
Candice Edmunds and Jamie Harrison will now co-direct the world premiere of the Bedknobs and Broomsticks musical following the passing of director Rachel Rockwell, who was helming the show.
Though previously set to premiere at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, the musical adaptation (featuring new material by Brian Hill and Neil Bartram in addition to the Sherman Brothers’ songs) now intends to launch in the UK, according to Playbill.
Bedknobs and Broomsticks will be based on the 1971 musical film of the same name, starring Angela Lansbury and David Tomlinson.
Charlie, Carrie and Paul have gone to live with Eglantine Price, an apprentice witch. They learn about her secret and blackmail her to give them something in return. Will she trade her secret?
Fabulous news! ! ! Curious to see if it will debut in the West End or a regional theatre.
