The full cast for the UK premiere of BECOMING NANCY has been announced.
The new musical, directed and choreographed by the Tony Award-winning Jerry Mitchell, is set to premiere at the Birmingham Rep, this October.
Starring Layla Armstrong-Hughes as Marcia Tubbert, Shannon Bourne as Ensemble, Elliot Copeland as Swing and Dance Captain, Joseph Craig as Ensemble, Jessica Daugirda as Swing, Isaac Elder as Squirrel, Cameron Gabriel as Ensemble, Tom Andrew Hargreaves as Bus Conductor/Mr Boswell/Ensemble, Ollie Hart-Bradford as Ensemble, Sebastian Harwood as Jason Lancaster, Lucas Impey as Dennis Gordon, Jordan Isaac as Swing, Peter Lavery as Ensemble, Dominique McIntyre as Chrissie Starr, Zara McLellan as Ensemble, Richard Meek as Bob Lord, Rachel Rawlinson as Muriel/Mrs Boswell/Ensemble and Harry Warburton as Ensemble.
They join the previously announced Joseph Peacock as David Starr, Joseph Vella as Maxie Boswell, Paige Peddie as Frances Bailey, Olivier Award-winning Rebecca Trehearn as Kath Starr, Genevieve Nicole as Aunt Val, Mathew Craig as Eddie Starr, Olivier Award-winning Stephen Ashfield as Hamish McClarnon and Daisy Greenwood as Abigail Henson.
BECOMING NANCY is a coming-of-age story about first love, friendship, and finding your voice, based on the novel by Terry Ronald. The book is by Elliot Davis, music by George Stiles and lyrics by Anthony Drewe with additional music and lyrics by Terry Ronald, Elliot Davis and George Stiles.
The creative team also includes co-set design by David Rockwell & TJ Greenway, costume design by Jean Chan, lighting design by Philip Rosenberg, sound design by Tony Gayle, video design by Dick Straker, hair & makeup design by Susanna Peretz, musical supervision & arrangements by Steve Anderson and casting by Jill Green CDG and casting associates Tom Shields & Olivia Laydon.
BECOMING NANCY will play the Birmingham Rep, running from 2nd October – 2nd November 2024, with tickets on sale now.
