Curve Leicester has announced a brand-new revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice’s musical Evita.
The award-winning venue is set to stage Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s beloved musical Evita in an all-new production, directed by Curve’s artistic director Nikolai Foster, this Christmas.
This marks another original revival of an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical at the Curve Theatre after recent critically-acclaimed productions of The Wizard of Oz (which is also now set to run at The London Palladium this summer) and Sunset Boulevard.
From a life of poverty to spiritual leader of the nation, Eva Peron was loved, hated, derided and venerated.
Dividing the Argentinian people with her patriotic speeches, her ambition, glamour and magnetism established ‘Evita’ as the world’s first major political celebrity.
Featuring a chart-topping score including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, Oh What A Circus, Another Suitcase in Another Hall, and the Oscar-winning You Must Love Me.
Evita has lyrics by Tim Rice, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber
Casting, creative team and more are to be announced at a later date, with tickets set to go on sale later this month.
Evita will play the Curve Leicester, running from 27th November 2023 – 13th January 2024.
