⭐ ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER & JIM STEINMAN’S WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND REVIVAL ANNOUNCED FOR THE WATERMILL THEATRE ⭐
The Watermill Theatre announced a major revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jim Steinman’s musical Whistle Down the Wind.
This new production will be the first major UK revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jim Steinman’s 1996 rock musical since 2010.
Whistle Down The Wind tells the story of a fugitive who is caught between the prejudice of adults and the innocence of the young.
Directed by Tom Jackson Greaves (Watermill Associate Artist), the new production will feature a company of actor musicians alongside a cast of talented local young people.
Whistle Down the Wind has music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, who also co-wrote its book with Patricia Knop and Gale Edwards, and lyrics by Jim Steinman. It is based on the 1961 film Whistle Down the Wind, whose source novel of the same name was written by Mary Hayley Bell in 1959.
Whistle Down The Wind will play at The Watermill Theatre from 22nd July – 10th September 2022.
