The cast for the world premiere of the unofficial Grease parody – ANCIENT GREASE has been announced.
ANCIENT GREASE is a dirty love-letter to the hit movie musical Grease, re-imagining the iconic characters and setting them amongst the Gods of Mount Olympus. The wine will flow, fate will be re-written, and Grease gets the ending it always deserved.
The new adults-only, immersive parody musical will play at The Vaults this Spring, in a return to in-house productions for the venue.
Starring Christopher Patten-Walker as Ares, Grace Kelly Miller as Atropos, Lara Beth Sas as Clotho, Lucy Penrose as Aphrodite, Ollie Thomas-Smith as Hephaestus, Philippa Leadbetter as Hera, Peter Camilleri as Zeus and Safia Bartley as Athena.
ANCIENT GREASE is packed with intoxicating songs, divine dance numbers, and a cast of celestial beings who burn brighter (and dirtier) than ever before. These Gods are behaving badly and they’re here to bring you the greasiest new musical in town.
ANCIENT GREASE is the first professional production from writer and performer Lady Aria Grey, star of Mulan Rouge and creator of Grey Widow, and the musical directorial debut of critically acclaimed stand-up comedian Dan Wye, one of London’s most prominent queer comedians and creatives.
Also featuring musical supervision by Corin Buckeridge, choreography by Lucinda Lawrence, lighting design by Clancy Flynn, set design by Isabella Van Braeckel, sound design by Gabriel Swarbrick, production management by Kieron Vanstone and produced by Susannah Bond for The Vaults.
ANCIENT GREASE will play The Vaults, London, running from 4th March – 31st May 2026, with tickets on sale now.
