⭐ ADAM PASCAL, AIMIE ATKINSON, RACHEL CLARE CHAN, CHRISTIAN REY MARBELLA & MORE ANNOUNCED FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE PREMIERE OF DEATH NOTE – THE MUSICAL ⭐
The full cast has been announced for the English language premiere of DEATH NOTE – THE MUSICAL.
Tony Award nominee Adam Pascal (RENT) will star as Ryuk, with Aimie Atkinson (Pretty Woman) as Rem, Rachel Clare Chan (Recent graduate from the Royal Academy of Music) as Sayu and Christian Rey Marbella (Miss Saigon) as Soichiro.
They join the previously announced Joaquin Pedro Valdes as Light, Dean John-Wilson as ‘L’ and Frances Mayli McCann as Misa.
The ensemble will feature Felipe Bejarano, Charlotte Coggin, Jade Copas, Eu Jin Hwang, Yojiro Ichikawa, Deena Kapadia, David Kar-Hing Lee, Nick Len, Jasmine Leung, Jojo Meredith, Marcel Li-Ping and Janine Somcio.
Following acclaimed productions in Japan and Korea, DEATH NOTE – THE MUSICAL will get its English language premiere with two star-studded concerts at the London Palladium.
Based on the best-selling Japanese manga series (60 million copies worldwide) of the same name by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, this ground breaking musical (Winner Best Musical, Korea Musical Awards) has a score by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, Bonnie & Clyde) with lyrics by Jack Murphy and book by Ivan Menchell.
The concert production will be directed by Nick Winston and produced by Carter Dixon McGill Production and Indie Theatrical.
Also featuring associate director & choreographer Alex Sarmiento, costume designer Kimie Nakano, musical supervisor Katy Richardson, musical director Chris Ma, orchestrator Jason Howland, designer Justin Williams, lighting designer Ben Cracknell, sound designer Ben Harrison, casting Harry Blumenau and artwork by Rebecca Pitt Creative.
DEATH NOTE – THE MUSICAL will play the London Palladium, on 21st & 22nd August 2023.
