⭐ ISAAC POWELL TO JOIN DEAR EVAN HANSEN FILM ADAPTATION ⭐
Broadway star Isaac Powell has joined the cast of the highly anticipated film adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen, it has been announced.
Powell, the star of Ivo van Howe’s 2020 Broadway revival of West Side Story, will make his feature film debut in the film adaptation, playing high school jock Rhys.
Powell joins the previously announced Gerald Caesar, Julianne Moore (Heidi Hansen), Danny Pino (Larry Murphy), Amy Adams (Cynthia Murphy), Nik Dodani (Jared Kleinman), Colton Ryan (Connor Murphy), Amandla Stenberg (Alana Beck) and Kaitlyn Dever (Zoe Murphy).
Ben Platt will reprise his Tony Award-winning performance as Evan Hansen, in the film adaptation.
Director Stephen Chbosky will helm from a script by Steven Levenson, who wrote the book for the stage. Music and lyrics by Academy Award-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
