⭐ OFFICIAL STEPS MUSICAL IN-DEVELOPMENT ⭐
A brand new musical featuring the music of the iconic pop band Steps is in-development, it has been announced.
Steps band member Lisa Scott-Lee confirmed the news in a recent interview on Dublin’s 98FM; when asked about the recent reports of a new musical titled One For Sorrow – The Musical, telling the life story of Princess Diana set to the music of Steps.
Scott-Lee commented: “We can confirm that we are not affiliated with that musical, it’s nothing to do with us, to be honest”, clarifying by adding “Well the reason we’re not affiliated with that one is because we’re working on our own”.
Pushed for further details, Scott-Lee revealed: “Well we’re in the planning stages, so I can’t say too much but we’ve always said if there was going to be a musical, we would want to endorse it, it’s our music, we’re the ones that have been singing it for 23 years…We love Steps and we care about it, we want it to be done in the right way”.
Steps are a British dance-pop group consisting of Claire Richards, Lee Latchford-Evans, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Ian “H” Watkins. Known for their hit songs “5, 6, 7, 8”, “One For Sorrow”, “Tragedy” & many more, selling over 20 million records worldwide.
