Rodgers and Hammerstein’s timeless classic The Sound of Music starring Carrie Underwood is premiering on The Shows Must Go On, it has been announced.
Produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, this TV special is an adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s 1959 Broadway musical The Sound of Music.
The TV special starred country singer and American Idol winner Carrie Underwood as Maria von Trapp, and was performed and televised live from Grumman Studios in Bethpage, New York.
Available to stream for free from Friday 22nd May – 7pm BST, for only 48hrs.
