Very early rumours are suggesting that Rob Houchen and Christine Allado are tipped to lead the cast of Moulin Rouge! when it debuts in the West End next year.
Rob Houchen would play the role of young composer Christian who falls in love with cabaret actress Satine.
Christine Allado would play the role of Satine, who is the star of the Moulin Rouge.
Rob Houchen can next be seen in the Garrick Theatre production of City of Angels, while Christine Allado will soon be starring in the West End premier of The Prince of Egypt.
Based on Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film. It comes to life onstage, remixed in a new musical mash-up extravaganza. A theatrical celebration of truth, beauty, freedom and — above all — love, Moulin Rouge! is more than a musical; it is a state of mind.
Moulin Rouge! will play at the Piccadilly Theatre and is due to open March 2021.
