⭐ MATILDA MUSICAL FILM ADAPTATION ANNOUNCED ⭐
A film adaptation of the hit musical, Matilda has been announced to be in development.
The film adaptation is to be produced by Working Title and be directed by Matthew Warchus.
A casting call has went out for the roles of Matilda and her classmates.
Rehearsals are due to be to start in June, with filming to take place from August – December 2020.
This new film adaptation will be of the multi-award winning musical from the Royal Shakespeare Company, which has a book by Dennis Kelly, original songs by Tim Minchin and was inspired by the beloved book by the incomparable Roald Dahl.
Matilda is the story of an extraordinary little girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.
Matilda was previously adapted in to a much-loved film in 1996, starring Mara Wilson & Danny DeVito.
