⭐ FRAN DRESCHER, RACHEL BLOOM & MORE DEVELOPING THE NANNY MUSICAL ⭐
The ’90s sitcom The Nanny is being developed into a Broadway musical.
The project was announced by producers Brian Zeilinger and Scott Zeilinger.
Series creators Fran Drescher and Peter Marc Jacobson are on board to write the show’s book, with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star Rachel Bloom and Adam Schlesinger writing the music.
Bloom, who co-created and starred in CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, will write the musical’s song lyrics, and share the music writing with Schlesinger.
Marc Bruni (Beautiful – The Carole King Musical) will direct.
A production timeline, additional creative team and casting will be announced later.
