⭐ 9 TO 5 – THE MUSICAL – PITLOCHRY FESTIVAL THEATRE REVIVAL ANNOUNCED ⭐
Pitlochry Festival Theatre will stage a new production of 9 TO 5 – THE MUSICAL it has been announced.
The new revival, announced as part of Alan Cumming’s second season as artistic director of Pitlochry Festival Theatre, will be directed by Cora Bissett (The Singer).
Based on the iconic 1980 film and set to Dolly Parton’s Grammy-nominated score, 9 TO 5 follows Violet, Judy, and Doralee: three coworkers pushed to breaking point by their sexist, egotistical boss, Franklin Hart Jr. Fed up with being overlooked, underpaid, and undermined, they hatch a plan to get even — and accidentally end up running the company far better than he ever did.
Packed with Dolly’s unmistakable songs and big laughs, it’s a hugely entertaining musical comedy that still has plenty to say about life in the workplace.
Whether you’re clocking in for the first time or you’ve had Dolly on repeat since 1980, this is a show about turning frustration into fabulousness, one office coup at a time.
Grab your headset, dust off your ambition, and get ready to change that awful, terrible, no-good boss’s mind. 9 TO 5 — working for a living has never looked, or sounded, this good.
9 TO 5 has music & lyrics by Dolly Parton, with a book by Patricia Resnick. Based on the 20th Century Fox Picture.
9 TO 5 – THE MUSICAL will play Pitlochry Festival Theatre, running from 1st 29th May 2027, with tickets on sale from 29th Oct 2026.
