The full cast for the London premiere of the stage musical adaptation of JANE EYRE has been announced.

JANE EYRE, a musical by John Caird and Paul Gordon based on the novel by Charlotte Brontë, will make its London premiere at Southwark Playhouse Elephant, for a strictly limited season this Summer.

Starring Charlie Burn as Jane, Ashley Gilmour as Rochester, Claire Greenway as Abbot/Grace Poole, Melad Hamidi as St John/Lord Ingram, Connor Wood as John Reed/Vicar, Jonathan Andrew Hume as Brocklehurst/Mason, Izzi Levine as Agnes/Leah/Jane’s Mother/Mary Ingram,

Also starring Hannah Lindsey as Scatcherd/Bertha Mason, Isabelle Methven as Helen Burns/Bessie, Gemma Page as Reed/Fairfax and Eve Shanu-Wilson as Blanche/Sophie, with Poppy Jason and Emily-Rose Samuel as Young Jane/Adele.

JANE EYRE will be co-directed by RSC and National Theatre director John Caird, who previously adapted and co-directed the original production of Les Misérables in the West End, on Broadway and across the world and Broadway’s Megan McGinnis, star of Beauty and the Beast, Little Women and Beetlejuice.

Featuring choreography by Georgina Lamb, set & costume design by Morgan Large, sound design by Andrew Johnson, lighting design by James Whiteside, musical direction & supervision by Ben Kubiak and casting direction by Sarah-Jane Price.

JANE EYRE originally premiered in Toronto in 1996 and was subsequently produced on Broadway in 2000, being nominated for five Tony Awards. Adam Blanshay Productions is partnering with the original Canadian producers, David and Hannah Mirvish, for the 30th Anniversary year of the show.

JANE EYRE will play Southwark Playhouse Elephant, London, running from 28th August – 24th October 2026, with tickets on sale now.
