The full cast for the Underbelly Boulevard Soho run of Dylan MarcAurele’s POP OFF, MICHELANGELO! has been announced.
The high-camp musical comedy that stole the Fringe makes its limited West End debut season with Max Eade and Aidan MacColl reprising their roles as Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci respectively, following runs at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024 and concert performances at The Other Palace.
The company is completed by Kurran Dhand as Salai, Aoife Haakenson as Mother, Sev Keoshgerian as Italian Chef, Michael Marouli as Pope and Laura Sillett as Savonarola, with Natalia Brown as Understudy and Conn McGirr as Dance Captain/Understudy.
The band will feature musical direction/keys by Aron Sood, bass by Felix Barrett and percussion by Paul J Forster.
POP OFF, MICHELANGELO! is a high-camp musical comedy telling the (somewhat edited) history of two of Italy’s greatest artists, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, as they both race to create the most legendary religious masterpieces.
Featuring an original electropop score as infectious as the bubonic plague, POP OFF, MICHELANGELO! is an unhinged adventure that you won’t want to miss.
POP OFF, MICHELANGELO! will be directed by Joe McNeice, choreographed by Sundeep Saini, with musical supervision & orchestrations by Aron Sood, costume design by Emily Bestow, video design by PJ McEvoy, lighting design by Adam King, sound design by Ed Lewis, casting direction by Sarah-Jane Price, assistant choreographer Conn McGirr, dramaturgy by Rose Oser, production management by James Anderton and general management by Paul Virides Productions.
