Full casting for the world premiere of DORIAN – THE MUSICAL has been announced.
Starring George Renshaw (he/him) as Harry Wotton, Leeroy Boone (he/they) as Baz Hallward, Megan Hill (they/them) as Sibyl, Gabrielle Lewis-Dodson (she/her) as Victoria Wotton and Rhys Lambert (he/him) as featured ensemble and understudy Dorian and Baz.
They are joined by the previously announced Alfie Friedman (he/him) as Dorian.
Inspired by Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray, DORIAN – THE MUSICAL is an exciting new adaptation that gives the Gothic tale a Glam, modern twist with a newly composed score that sears through the action, propelled by influences from Bowie to Brecht.
A modern, queer fairy-tale, it challenges perceptions of gender and identity and the dangers of social media in a world where youth and immortality are thrust into the spotlight.
DORIAN – THE MUSICAL will be directed by Linnie Reedman, with musical direction by Aaron Clingham, choreography by Korina Kokkali, lighting design & production management by Toby Darvill, sound design by Mike Thacker, set & costume design by Isabelle Van Braeckel and associate director Elliot Pritchard.
DORIAN – THE MUSICAL has music & lyrics by Joe Evans, with a book by Linnie Reedman.
DORIAN – THE MUSICAL will play Southwark Playhouse Borough, running from 4th July – 10th August 2024, with tickets on sale now.
