The full cast for the fully staged West End premiere of YOUR LIE IN APRIL – THE MUSICAL has been announced.
Starring Ericka Posadas, Ernest Stroud, Lucy Park, Gracie Lai, Eu Jin Hwang, Jojo Meredith, Chris Fung, Imogen Law Hing Choi, Ria Tanaka, Daniel Nardone, Mairi Ikegami and Kevin Tristan.
They join the previously announced lead cast of Zheng Xi Yong, Mia Kobayashi, Rachel Clare Chan and Dean John-Wilson.
Following his mother’s death, teenage piano prodigy Kōsei Arima finds himself unable to play music. But when he strikes a friendship with the brilliant violinist Kaori Miyazono, she slowly encourages him to perform again.
The Your Lie In April manga, published in 2011, has since sold over 7.5 million copies in 17 countries. It was adapted into a 22-part anime TV series in 2014, a Japanese live-action film in 2016 and a Japanese stage production in 2017. Frank Wildhorn’s musical opened in Tokyo in 2022, followed by a Japan tour, and smashed box office records. This production is its English language premiere.
YOUR LIE IN APRIL – THE MUSICAL will be directed & choreographed by Nick Winston, co-directed by Jordan Murphy, featuring musical supervision by Katy Richardson, musical direction & conducted by Chris Poon, set design by Justin Williams, costume design by Kimie Nakano, sound design by Rob Bettle for Sound Quiet Time and Adam Fisher, lighting design by Rory Beaton, video design by Dan Light, orchestral management by Rich Morris for Music Solutions Ltd, production management by Toby P Darvill and casting director Harry Blumenau CDG CDA.
YOUR LIE IN APRIL – THE MUSICAL has music by multi-Grammy, Tony, and Emmy Award nominated Broadway composer Frank Wildhorn, with lyrics by Carly Robyn Green and Tracy Miller.
YOUR LIE IN APRIL – THE MUSICAL will play the Harold Pinter Theatre, running from 28th June – 21st September 2024, with tickets on sale now.
