⭐ MELISSA JACQUES – SONGS MY FATHER TOLD ME I SHOULD SING – ONE-WOMAN SHOW ANNOUNCED FOR PHOENIX ARTS CLUB ⭐
Fresh from the UK tour of I Should Be So Lucky, star of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Melissa Jacques, is bringing her brand new one woman show SONGS MY FATHER TOLD ME I SHOULD SING to London, it has been announced.
In a deeply personal musical journey, Melissa will share songs from some of the inspirational artists her dad introduced her to, as a kid growing up in Sheffield, when the dream of one day standing on a West End stage seemed impossible.
From first auditions, TV talent shows and drama school, to first jobs, West End musicals and national tours, Melissa will also be performing some of her favourite songs from shows she has appeared in, along with one or two she hasn’t.
The music of icons such as Barbara Streisand and Cyndi Lauper, and songs from Mamma Mia, Wicked, and of course Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, will all be performed by Melissa Jacques and her band, in a very special evening at the Phoenix Arts Club.
Melissa will be joined on the night by special guest and star of Six and Wicked, Nikki Bentley.
SONGS MY FATHER TOLD ME I SHOULD SING is written & performed by Melissa Jacques, featuring musical direction & arrangements by Sam Hall and co-written & directed by Jamie Alexander Wilson.
SONGS MY FATHER TOLD ME I SHOULD SING will play the Phoenix Arts Club on Monday 8th July – 7.30pm, with tickets on sale now.
