PAUL MCGANN TO STAR IN LONDON REVIVAL OF JEZ BUTTERWORTH’S THE RIVER

⭐ PAUL MCGANN TO STAR IN LONDON REVIVAL OF JEZ BUTTERWORTH’S THE RIVER ⭐

A London revival of Jez Butterworth’s THE RIVER has been announced for the Greenwich Theatre.

THE RIVER returns to London in the first major revival since its world premiere at the Royal Court in 2012.

On a moonless night in August when the sea trout are ready to run, a man brings his new girlfriend to the remote family cabin where he has come for the fly-fishing since he was a boy. But she’s not the only woman he has brought here – and nor is she the last.

Starring Paul McGann (Withnail and I, Doctor Who, Luther) as The Man.

THE RIVER will be directed by Greenwich Theatre artistic director James Haddrell.

From Mojo to Jerusalem and The Ferryman, Jez Butterworth’s plays have won two Olivier Awards, a Tony Award, a Critics Circle Theatre Award, an Evening Standard Theatre Award and more.

THE RIVER will play Greenwich Theatre, running from 1st – 27th October 2024, with tickets on sale now.
