Carrie Hope Fletcher and Jamie Muscato will reunite in a one-night-only concert of the achingly beautiful musical – Once, it has been announced.
They will head an actor-musician cast in this very special one-night-only concert of the critically acclaimed and much-loved musical. Full casting will be announced at a later date.
Winner of 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Once tells the unforgettable story of a Dublin street musician and a beautiful but quirky Czech woman, drawn together by their shared love of music. Over the course of one fateful week, as they assemble a band from her wild family and his unconventional mates, the music flows and they slowly fall in love.
From the very first note, Once draws you in and never lets go. This emotionally captivating musical is the only show to have won an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, an Olivier Award and a Tony Award for its stunning music.
Featuring all of the magical songs from the critically acclaimed film, including the Oscar-winning “Falling Slowly,” this joyously uplifting story strikes an unforgettable chord in audiences and speaks to the power of music to connect us all. A show about what happens when you take chances and follow your dreams.
Once has a book by Enda Walsh with music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová. It is based on the motion picture written and directed by John Carney.
The production will be directed by Dean Johnson with musical direction by Adam Hoskins.
Once will play the London Palladium for one-night-only on 12th March 2023, with tickets on sale now.
