The cast & creatives have been announced for the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch revival of The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾ – The Musical.

The new production will be led by Be More Chill star James Hameed as Adrian Mole with Ben Williamson-Jones as Barry, Claire Storey as Grandma, Dominic Gee-Burch as Mr Lucas/Mr Scruton, Lauryn Redding as Doreen/Miss Elf, Luke Thornton as Nigel, Sally Cheng as Pandora, Sioned Saunders as Pauline Mole, Tom Self as Bert and Steve Simmonds as George Mole.

Announced as part of the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch Spring 2022 season, this outrageously funny tale of teenage angst and unrequited love features one of the most endearing comedy characters of all time.

This new actor musician version is directed by Douglas Rintoul, with assistant director Adam Dear, musical direction by Tom Self, choreography from Sundeep Saini, set & costume design by Alfie Heywood, lighting design by Sherry Coenen, sound design by Chris Murray and accent coaching by Charmian Hoare.

The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾ – The Musical has a book and lyrics by Jake Brunger, with music and lyrics by Pippa Cleary.

The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾ – The Musical will play the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch, playing from 28th April – 21st May 2022.
