⭐ GSA – GUILDFORD SCHOOL OF ACTING TO STREAM NEW MUSICAL – EXTRAORDINARY WOMEN – FOR FREE ⭐
Renowned performing arts school GSA – Guildford School of Acting have announced a new musical, Extraordinary Women, they will be streaming online for free.
This new piece of writing has been written especially for the MFA Musical Theatre students. By special arrangement with the Society of Authors on behalf of the Compton Mackenzie estate.
The Mediterranean, early 1920s: glamorous Rosalba escapes Spanish ‘flu, wreaking havoc with her female admirers on the island of Sirene. Extraordinary Women explores themes of companionship, love, queerness and strong, free women.
This recorded live production features the final year students of the MFA Musical Theatre programme in collaboration with students on the BA Theatre Production and MA Stage & Production Management programmes.
This production has been rehearsed and performed in Covid-safe conditions.
Extraordinary Women is a new musical based on the novel by Compton Mackenzie with music by Sarah Travis and book and lyrics by Richard Stirling.
Directed and choreographed by Tom Jackson Greaves with musical direction by Peter Roberts.
The show will be streamed for free on 2nd June and 3rd June, via the GSA website.
