⭐ SALLY ANN TRIPLETT, LAURA PITT-PULFORD & MORE ANNOUNCED FOR PIAF ⭐
Full casting has been announced for the Nottingham Playhouse and Leeds Playhouse co-production of Pam Gems’ Piaf.
Tony-nominated and Olivier Award-winning actress Jenna Russell has already been confirmed to take the title role. Now Sally Ann Triplett (Last Ship, Anything Goes) will be joining her in the role of Toine – Edith Piaf’s best friend and confidante.
Olivier Award-nominated actress Laura Pitt-Pulford will play Marlene Dietrich, Garry Robson will be taking the role of Louis Leplee – the nightclub owner who discovered Piaf and Louis Gaunt will play Piaf’s husband Theo.
Also Samuel James will play Bruno, owner and manager of the Paris Olympia, Matthew Woodyatt will play Raymond, Joseph Prowen will play Louis and Zheng Xi Yong will take the role of Lucien.
Piaf will be directed by Adam Penford (Holes), with Frankie Bradshaw as Designer, Jack Knowles as Lighting Designer, Ella Wahlström as Sound Designer, Gareth Valentine will be MD on keys, Arranger and Orchestrator, Georgina Lamb is the Movement Director, Félicité du Jeu will be Dialect Coach, and Will Burton is the Casting Director.
Pam Gems’ Piaf tells the extraordinary life story of the sensational, world-renowned singer Edith Piaf.
Piaf opens at Nottingham Playhouse, playing 2nd – 17th July 2021. It will then transfer to Leeds Playhouse where it will run in the Courtyard Theatre from 23rd July – 7 August 2021.
