⭐ DISNEY’S THE LION KING WEST END REOPENING ANNOUNCED – JULY 2021 ⭐
Disney’s The Lion King will reopen in the West End this July, it has been announced.
The Lion King will resume performances at the Lyceum Theatre from 29th July 2021.
Now in its 21st year at London’s Lyceum Theatre, Disney’s award-winning musical The Lion King explodes with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. It follows the powerful story of Simba as he journeys from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.
The Lion King is directed by Julie Taymor, scenic design is by British designer Richard Hudson, lighting design by Donald Holder. costume design by Taymor and choreography by Garth Fagan. The book was adapted by Roger Allers, who co-directed the animated feature and Irene Mecchi, who co-wrote the screenplay. Music is by Elton John and Tim Rice, with additional composition by Lebo M.
The show has continued to push for a government-backed insurance scheme, and will adjust reopening plans in line with any adjustments to the reopening roadmap.
Tickets will go on sale later this month.
