⭐ 42 BALLOONS – FULL CAST & CREATIVES ANNOUNCED ⭐
The full cast and creative team for the premiere production of new musical 42 BALLOONS has been announced.
Joining the previously announced Charlie McCullagh (Bonnie & Clyde) and Evelyn Hoskins (Waitress) reprising their roles as Larry and ‘Carol’ from the 2022 staged concert performances in the West End, will be Gillian Hardie (Kinky Boots) as Carol’s Mom and Lejaun Sheppard (The Book of Mormon) as Ron.
The rest of the company will comprise of Simon Anthony (Guys & Dolls), Jordan Broatch (You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown), Maddison Bulleyment (SIX), Athena Collins (SIX), Morgan Gregory (Newsies), Matt Jones (Pretty Woman), Luke Latchman (Sunset Boulevard), Rebekah Lowings (My Fair Lady), Jamie Pritchard (Les Misérables), Laura Dawn Pyatt (SIX), Tinovimbanashe Sibanda (Moulin Rouge!) and Natasha Wilde (2023 graduate).
Creatives include Ellie Coote as director & dramaturg, with orchestrations, arrangements and musical supervision by Joe Beighton, choreography by Alexzandra Sarmiento, scenic design by Milla Clarke, costume design by Natalie Pryce, video design by Olivier and Tony Award-winner Andrzej Goulding, lighting design by Tony and Olivier Award-nominee Bruno Poet, sound design by Grammy and Tony Award-nominee Paul Gatehouse, casting by Pearson Casting CDG and music direction by Flynn Sturgeon.
42 BALLOONS is an uplifting musical inspired by the highly improbable true story of how Larry, and his partner Carol Van Deusen, convinced their friends and family to help Larry achieve his dream of flying.
Featuring an irresistible, 80s pop-inspired score, 42 BALLOONS questions how far you would go to make your dreams come true. Is the sky actually the limit, and what happens if it doesn’t all go to plan?
42 BALLOONS has a book, music & lyrics by Jack Godfrey, whose other works include This is a Love Story and Babies.
42 BALLOONS will play at The Lowry, Salford, running from 18th April – 19th May 2024, with tickets on sale now.
