The UK premiere of Something Rotten! has been rescheduled to 2021, it has been announced.

Birmingham Repertory Theatre has today announced a number of its Autumn & Winter 2020 productions have been postponed.

Something Rotten! will now play from 7th – 30th October 2021.

The Broadway smash-hit production was set to open in October 2020, directed by newly appointed Artistic Director Sean Foley, but due to the ongoing closure of theatres across the UK, the show is unable to go ahead as planned.

The following productions have also been postponed: Breakfast on Pluto, Calmer, Bright Places, Life Is No Laughing Matter, Noughts And Crosses and seven methods of killing kylie jenner.

Customers will be contacted in due course with further information regarding their bookings.

Set in 1595, Something Rotten! follows the story of the Bottom brothers, Nick and Nigel, who struggle to find success in the theatrical world, as they compete with the wild popularity of their contemporary William Shakespeare.

Something Rotten! is an original musical comedy with a book by John O’Farrell & Karey Kirkpatrick, with music and lyrics by Karey & Wayne Kirkpatrick.
