⭐ RUMOUR – KATE WINSLET TO JOIN DEAR EVAN HANSEN FILM ADAPTATION ⭐
Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet is reportedly joining the cast of the highly anticipated film adaptation of Tony-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen, it has been rumoured.
Winslet would reportedly play the role of Heidi Hansen, the mother of main character Evan Hansen.
If true, Winslet would join the previously announced Danny Pino (Larry Murphy), Amy Adams (Cynthia Murphy), Nik Dodani (Jared Kleinman), Colton Ryan (Connor Murphy), Amandla Stenberg (Alana Beck) and Kaitlyn Dever (Zoe Murphy).
Ben Platt is expected to reprise his Tony Award-winning performance as Evan Hansen, in the film adaptation.
Director Stephen Chbosky will helm from a script by Steven Levenson, who wrote the book for the stage. Music and lyrics by Academy Award-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
Now this is of course currently unconfirmed but Kate Winslet’s name keeps popping up in regards to current rumours.
She previously displayed her singing abilities in the 2001 animated film Christmas Carol: The Movie, where she performed the song “What If” for the films’ soundtrack.
I think she would be a wonderful choice, fingers crossed! ! !
