⭐ AILSA DAVIDSON, CHRISSIE BHIMA, THOMAS JOSLING, RICHARD MEEK & MORE ANNOUNCED FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE PREMIERE OF MARIE CURIE – A NEW MUSICAL ⭐

The cast for the English language premiere of major new musical MARIE CURIE has been announced.

The cast will be led by Ailsa Davidson (Heathers) as Marie Curie, Chrissie Bhima (The Witches) as Anne Kowalska, Thomas Josling (Scandaltown) as Pierre Curie and Richard Meek (The Rocky Horror Show) as Ruben Dupont.

The ensemble will feature Christopher Killik, Dean Makowski-Clayton, Rio Maye, Yujin Park, Isabel Snaas, Maya Kristal Tenenbaum and Lucy Young.

Marie Curie. Physicist. Pioneer. Parent. In a breathtaking display of courage and resilience, she shattered the glass ceilings of her time, defying the odds as a fearless female immigrant.

A story of life and death, MARIE CURIE has already captivated audiences in Korea with its sweeping score and story and is now brought to London audiences for the first time, in a stirring original production directed by Sarah Meadows (Ride).

MARIE CURIE premiered in South Korea in 2020 at the Chungmu Art Center and recorded a rating of 9.8 (out of 10). A live performance was then broadcast, watched by 790,000 people.

Winner of the Grand Prize, Best Book, Best Music, Best Director, and Best Producer awards at the 5th Korea Musical Awards.

MARIE CURIE will be directed by Sarah Meadows, featuring musical direction by Emma Fraser, choreography by Joanna Goodwin, sound design by Andrew Johnson, casting director Jane Deitch, production management by James Anderton, general management by Aria Entertainment and produced Byungwon Kang & LIVE corp.

MARIE CURIE has a book & lyrics by Seeun Choun, with music by Jongyoon Choi. Featuring English book adaptation by Tom Ramsay, with English lyrics adaptation by Emma Fraser and literal translation by Ahreumbi Rew.

MARIE CURIE will play Charing Cross Theatre, running from 1st June – 28th July 2024, with tickets on sale now.
