⭐ WEST END STARS ANNOUNCED FOR DISNEY…ISH – FUNDRAISING CONCERT AT UNION THEATRE ⭐

Disney…ish – A fundraising concert for Help Musicians UK has been announced for the Union Theatre in Southwark.

Disney…ish will feature songs from lesser-known animated films like ‘Thumbelina’, ‘The Swan Princess’, and ‘Quest for Camelot’, and from production houses such as Disney, Don Bluth, and Dreamworks.

The line-up for Disney…ish features a mixture of West End stars and new graduates, which includes –

Produced by Bookend Productions, a new not-for-profit theatrical production company founded in January 2021 by Rebecca Gilliland, which provides a platform for performers who have been given no opportunities to perform in public since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Its first project – a remotely recorded version of ‘The Bells of Notre Dame’ – involved more than 100 performers from the UK and has been viewed more than 500k times on YouTube, and received public praise from Disney Veteran, Alan Menken.

Rebecca Gilliland said: “Help Musicians UK have been a lifeline for so many performers in these last 18 months – and for many years before the COVID pandemic hit – so I’m thrilled we’re going to be able to raise funds for them by celebrating the music from these, films that that introduced so many of us to musicals.”
