⭐ THE COLOR PURPLE DIGITAL CONCERT RELEASED BY CURVE LEICESTER TO MARK BLACK HISTORY MONTH ⭐

The Curve Leicester has commissioned and released a digital concert of The Color Purple to mark Black History Month.

Featuring reflections and performances from cast and creative members of the 2019 Made at Curve and Birmingham Hippodrome co-production – winner of Best Regional Production at the WhatsOnStage Awards earlier this year – the video is a celebration of this great musical and the talent of all those involved.

Cast includes Geoff Aymer, Owen Chaponda, Perola Congo, KM Drew Boateng, Danielle Fiamanya, Danielle Kassarate, Anelisa Lamola, Rosemary Annabella Nkrumah, Karen Mavundukure, Jochebel Ohene MacCarthy, Landi Oshinowo, Simon-Anthony Rhoden, Jo Servi and T’Shan Williams.

Production team includes Tinuke Craig – Director, Alex Parker – Musical Director & Piano, Chris Mock – Sound Mixer and Ben Hewis – Editor.

The Color Purple is based upon the novel written by Alice Walker and the Warner Bros./Amblin Entertainment motion picture. Book by Marsha Norman, music & lyrics by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis and Stephen Bray.

The Color Purple – Digital Concert will be captioned and available to watch for free on the Curve Leicester website and social media channels until Monday 19th October at 11am.
