⭐ RUMOUR – WAITRESS FILMED PERFORMANCE PLANS SHELVED ⭐

Plans for a filmed performance of the West End production of Waitress were reportedly shelved, due to the current Coronavirus situation.

A filmed performance was rumoured to happen to cap off Waitress composer & star Sara Bareilles’ stint in the West End production.

With the current circumstances, the filmed performance reportedly couldn’t be organised.

Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel recently ended their run in the London production a week early, due to the uncertainty the Coronavirus situation has placed on travel arrangements.

Waitress is a musical with music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson. The musical is based on the 2007 film of the same name, written by Adrienne Shelly.

None of this has been confirmed but I had suspected they would utilise the opportunity of Sara & Gavin starring in the West End production to film the show.

Gutting if this is true. I really hope the show does eventually get filmed and that Sara has a chance to star in it.
