RUMOUR – ANYTHING GOES REVIVAL SET FOR LONDON & UK TOUR

⭐ RUMOUR – ANYTHING GOES REVIVAL SET FOR LONDON & UK TOUR ⭐

The Broadway revival of the classic Cole Porter musical Anything Goes, directed & choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, will reportedly be coming to London, it is rumoured.

Very few details are currently known but the revival would reportedly play London’s Barbican Theatre, before embarking on a UK tour. No details on the time frame.

Anything Goes is a musical with music and lyrics by Cole Porter. The original book was a collaborative effort by Guy Bolton and P. G. Wodehouse, heavily revised by the team of Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse.

The S. S. American is sailing between New York and England with a comically colorful assemblage of passengers: Reno Sweeney, a popular nightclub singer and former evangelist, her pal Billy Crocker, a lovelorn Wall Street broker who has come aboard to try to win the favor of his beloved Hope Harcourt (who is engaged to another passenger, Sir Evelyn Oakleigh), and a second-rate conman named Moonface Martin, aka “Public Enemy #13.” Song, dance, and farcical antics ensue as Reno and Moonface try to help Billy win the love of his life.

The musical introduced such songs as “Anything Goes,” “You’re the Top,” and “I Get a Kick Out of You.”

Very early whispers, I hope this happens though, such a fun show. I would of loved to have seen this production with Sutton Foster! ! !

Now the question is….. Who would you cast as Reno Sweeney, if this turns out to be true?
