Kristin Chenoweth will be starring in a new TV comedy series – The Biggest Star In Appleton, it has been announced.
The Biggest Star In Appleton will star Chenoweth as Carol Dannhauser, a Wisconsin mom, wife and waitress who, while devoted to her family, finds her deepest satisfaction in small town stardom at the local community theater. Her status is threatened when Tara Hubley, a struggling New York chorus girl, moves back home with dreams of her own.
Disney+ is developing the series from playwright/screenwriter Paul Rudnick (Sister Act & Addams Family Values).
Rudnick is also currently writing the book for the stage musical adaptation of The Devil Wears Prada.
